These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Brisbane.Exposed, a 3D suburb explorer and adventure tracker for Brisbane, Australia, available at https://brisbane.exposed.

By creating an account, signing in, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

The service

Brisbane.Exposed lets you browse a map of Brisbane suburbs, open suggested local adventures, and optionally track which ones you have completed. You may browse without an account. Signing in is required to mark adventures done and to keep that progress with your account.

The service is provided for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Content (including adventure prompts, place names, and map presentation) is suggestive and may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. Businesses, parks, and venues can change hours, close, or restrict access without notice.

Accounts

If you create an account you must provide accurate details, keep your password confidential, and be responsible for activity on the account. You can sign out, change your password, or delete your account from Manage account. Deleting your account removes your saved progress from our servers and cannot be undone.

We may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, the account is used for abuse, or we need to protect the service or other people.

Getting about Brisbane

Adventures may involve visiting real places, including streets, parks, businesses, and waterfronts. You are responsible for your own safety and for following the law, local rules, and any venue conditions. Check opening hours, access, weather, and transport yourself. Do not trespass, interfere with other people, or take risks for the sake of completing a prompt.

Brisbane.Exposed is not a navigation product, travel agent, or professional advice service. Map geometry is simplified. Do not rely on it for emergency, accessibility, or precise wayfinding.

Acceptable use

You must not:

misuse accounts, scrape the service in a way that harms it, or probe it for vulnerabilities except with our written permission;
bypass security, rate limits, or bot checks;
use the service to harass anyone or to publish unlawful content;
pretend the service’s content is official advice from Brisbane City Council or any other body; or
use the service for anything illegal under Australian law.

Intellectual property

The Brisbane.Exposed name, interface, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the service as provided. You may not copy, republish, or commercially exploit substantial parts of the map, adventure data, or software without permission, except as allowed by Australian law (including fair dealing).

Some 3D assets and music are used under third-party licences credited in the app. Share images you generate of your own progress are for you to keep or share personally; they do not transfer ownership of our underlying map or branding.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Creating an account or signing in means you also acknowledge that policy.

Availability

We may change, pause, or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Adventure lists and progress features may change as the map is updated.

Liability and Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other law that cannot be excluded.

Where we are allowed to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee in relation to services not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

To the extent permitted by the ACL and other applicable law, we are not liable for loss arising from visiting a place suggested in an adventure, relying on map or venue information, or from matters outside our reasonable control. We provide the explorer as a free hobby project; you use it at your own risk except for rights you cannot contract out of.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. If you continue to use the service after an update, the revised Terms apply to that further use. If you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your account.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia.
